We going to rock down to, Electric Avenue, and then we’ll take it higher. This is my girlfriend’s mountain bike that she has had for a few years. I just added the rear hub motor yesterday. It is a 500W Conhis Hub Motor. This bike has an aluminum frame, and is very light. It would be great with lithium or nimh batteries. It is a lot more fun to ride than my 1000W Front Hub Motor Hybrid bike, but its not as fast. I like being able to take this thing on rougher terrain. The cheap Chinese 6-speed freewheel that came with the bike is junk, and will need to be replaced. For now, it’s on the bike and makes a terrible noise. Those batteries are not the right batteries for this bike, i just put them on temporarily so i could test out the new bike! I plan to put smaller batteries on this bike, and clean up the wires a bit. I will probably use SLA for this bike, just to keep it cheap, but i imagine i’ll build a lithium mountain bike for myself in the future. This thing is so much fun! Any Questions? GoSouthernMD conducted a video of the performance going up about a 30 degree hill grade. We initially said about 15 degree on the video but it was much more steeper of a grade and it performed wonderfully. This mobility scooter is in a class all by itself.
