I have an electric scooter for my little girl. We got it used as is. We charge it and it goes for like a couple seconds and then it quits. If she sits on it it wont go at all. Do you think that we need a battery or motor or what, Skooter city cruizer is the name of it. The model number of the moter is my1016,it is 24 vdc,250 watts and 2500 rpms. CAN YOU HELP US

this is my bike with 1000 watt motor, rated at 34 amps. i am powering it with 36v. i am using a 20amp controller. i have to buy a new controller. probably a 30 amp controller. lol i fried this one. i had the fuse between the controller and motor. my bad. when i get a new controller i will get more vids. when i had the 20 amp controller it topped out and 29 mph downhill. prob average was like 15 mph.

I am looking to get a motor which i can attach a bicycle cog to, which will turn a bicycle crank on a bike ergometer (LODE: http://www.lode.nl/en/home), basically substituting for a human turning the crank. The idea is we will need a motor where we can vary the power output between ~120 and ~200 watts, at a drive shaft speed of 190 RPM (though we would like to be able to vary this if needed). I was initially just looking for a DC electric motor and getting a speed control so that we could bring the RPM’s down as needed, but then realized that I assume we wouldn’t be able to get the necessary torque out of one of these motors for the necessary power output, at such low RPMs. Help from anyone with an EE or ME background and experience with electric motors would be appreciated.

First bike i made 650watt 24V motor, (2) 12v 7AH sealed lead acid batteries, Top speed 25-30MPH, Range 10 miles. (I road bike earlier in the day battery kind of low.)
