Product Description

Your Pride Jazzy EVO 614HD carries 450 pounds while still turning inside 22 inches, which is a combination very few heavy duty power chairs manage. Mid-Wheel 6 technology puts the drive wheels under the seat, full independent front and rear Active-Trac ATX suspension smooths out thresholds and uneven ground, and 13.75 inch perforated drive wheels with 3 inches of clearance handle far more than smooth floors. A 60 amp Dynamic LiNX controller ties it together, and two Group 22NF batteries supply the energy as a 24 volt pair.

Before you order, confirm which EVO 614 you have, because the two models take different batteries. The 614HD is the 450 pound capacity version and runs Group 22NF batteries, which is what this pair is built for. The standard EVO 614 carries 300 pounds and runs smaller U1 batteries instead. Both chairs have two batteries, so counting them will not tell you which you own. Check the label on your current batteries: NF-22 or 22NF means you are in the right place, U-1 means you need our standard EVO 614 pair.

We fit the 614HD with MK Powered batteries in two versions and nothing else. The M22NF SLD A is a 12 volt, 55 amp hour sealed AGM battery and the standard choice, delivering the most capacity per charge. The M22NF SLD G is a 12 volt, 51 amp hour gel battery, and while its amp hour number reads lower, gel is the tougher chemistry: it handles deep discharges more gracefully, tolerates heat and cold better, and typically delivers more usable cycles over its life. On a chair carrying 450 pounds every day, that durability often outweighs the small capacity difference.

MK has supplied the leading wheelchair and power chair manufacturers for decades, and both options are sealed, completely maintenance free, and spillproof, so there is no water to add and no risk of a spill on carpet or in a vehicle. There is no wrong answer between them, only the one that better matches how hard you use your chair and where you store it.

Your batteries ship partially charged, which is standard for safe transport, so give them a full overnight charge before your first outing, then charge daily for the first two weeks while the new pair breaks in. Shipping is free, your order leaves our warehouse within three business days, and real people answer our phone whenever you have a question.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The standard EVO 614 is the 300 pound capacity model and uses smaller U1 batteries. Both chairs have two batteries, so check the label rather than counting: NF-22 or 22NF means this pair is correct, U-1 means you need our EVO 614 pair instead.

Most last 12 to 24 months, depending on how often you use the chair, charging habits, terrain, and storage conditions. Because the 614HD carries more weight than a standard power chair, heavy daily users often replace closer to the one year mark.

Signs include reduced driving range, slower acceleration, difficulty crossing thresholds or climbing inclines, difficulty holding a charge, or the gauge dropping quickly after a full charge. Replacing both batteries together gives the best results.

Two Group 22NF batteries, also written NF-22, wired together for 24 volts and weighing roughly 37 pounds each. The MK M22NF SLD A is the 55Ah AGM version and the M22NF SLD G is the 51Ah gel version.

The 55Ah AGM is the standard fit and gives the most capacity per charge. The 51Ah gel trades a small amount of capacity for tougher deep cycling and better tolerance of heat and cold. Heavy daily users and anyone storing the chair in an unconditioned space often prefer gel.

Gel chemistry stores slightly less energy in the same case size, but handles deep discharges and temperature extremes far better and typically delivers more usable cycles. On a heavy duty chair that works its batteries hard, that durability is often the better trade.

We recommend replacing both batteries at the same time. Mixing an old battery with a new one reduces performance, shortens battery life, and strains the charging system. Never mix AGM and gel batteries in the same pair.

They ship partially charged, which is standard practice for safe battery transport. Give them a full overnight charge before your first outing, and charge daily for the first two weeks so the new pair reaches its full range.

Yes, and it matters more than most people realize. Batteries left discharged lose capacity permanently, and manufacturers commonly require charging at least once a week for 24 hours during storage to keep coverage valid.

No, and they do not need to. You reuse the existing cables and terminal hardware from your current batteries, which is standard for this chair. Everything transfers over during the swap.
