But at roughly 480 watt hours it sits well above the FAA’s 300 watt hour limit for lithium batteries on commercial aircraft, so a Carbon HD carrying that pack is not flight ready.

Plenty of Carbon HD owners keep both: the 20Ah for everyday range and the 12Ah ready in a bag for trips.
